The Story of McMullen Interiors
McMullen Interiors was established by John McMullen in 2011. John began his journey in carpentry with his City & Guilds qualification in 1999, driven by a passion for the craft that extended far beyond a simple career choice. His apprenticeship was wide-ranging and diverse, giving him the opportunity to master various types of carpentry and joinery, from traditional pitched roofs to custom staircases.
After completing his apprenticeship, John worked with several local building companies before advancing to a major construction firm as a Site Manager, overseeing large-scale carpentry projects. With over a decade of experience in the trade, John decided it was time to start his own business, and thus, McMullen Carpentry and Joinery was born.
The best tradespeople are those with a genuine passion for their craft—those who seek excellence and are dedicated to doing the job right. This philosophy inspired the creation of McMullen Interiors. We take great pride in our work, putting our name on every project we undertake, and we treat each job with the same care and attention to detail as if it were in our own home.
